Welcome to Our New Wausau Smiles Building
What began almost three years ago as a shared vision among my staff, my family, and I is now a reality. Our new Wausau Smiles facility, located at 301 N. 17th Avenue, will be open to patients beginning Wednesday, March 21. And these great patients of ours — those we consider our extended family — will get to experience the best amenities and most advanced technologies of any dental practice in the area.
In addition to the new building’s beautiful overall design, many of its noteworthy features are found in the modern and comfortably home-like waiting area. As I mentioned, every patient of ours is like family to us: I wanted our new building, and especially our waiting area, to reflect that in every facet and feature. Some of these include an eye-catching fireplace, a huge flat-screen TV, a complimentary coffee and beverage bar, and convenient computer stations. This is a space that’s designed to make you feel at home and at ease. Connected to the main waiting area is a children’s room that has a TV playing children’s movies, a tablet with numerous games, and a whiteboard table and blackboard wall for the young artists who visit.
Moving on from the front of our office to our clinical areas, patients will discover fantastic views of Wausau and Rib Mountain through the floor-to-ceiling windows in our operatories. You can enjoy a relaxing experience during any appointment, thanks in part to our massaging ergonomic chairs and the soon-to-be-available neck pillows and hot scented towels. Additionally, there are flat-screen HDTVs located on both the wall and ceiling of each op that can be tuned to your favorite online music channel or cable network. For children’s appointments, our new facility offers a fun and elaborate toy reward system that will have them looking forward to their next visit.
Beyond the beautiful aesthetics and patient-centered amenities, our new facility features state-of-the-art dental technology that allows us to meet our patients’ needs in a way that few, if any, practices in the area can. In addition to digital X-rays, our dental cone beam 3D imaging and T-Scan imaging are two scanning tools we use to map the teeth, analyze bite patterns, and plan a number of treatments, including dental implants and dentures. Our new 3D printing technology allows us, among other things, to create templates that ensure the flawless placement of implants during surgery. In the coming weeks, we’ll be adding Multiwave Locked System (MLS) laser treatment to the Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) treatment we currently offer for patients with TMJ disorders. And for those patients of ours who need a perfect crown done quickly, our new facility offers same-day crown services using the latest CEREC CAM/CAD technology.
Of course, all of these things are just complementary to Wausau Smiles’ already world-class dental services and the amazing dental professionals who deliver them. And although I’ve shared a lot about our new building, there’s still a lot of great new things for you to discover for yourself. Whether you’re a current patient/extended family member of ours or someone looking to join our Wausau Smiles family, it’s with great excitement that I invite you to experience what our building and — most importantly — what our incredible staff have to offer you and your family for every one of your dental needs. Swing by our new building, follow the homepage links, or give us a call at (715) 842-3933 to make an appointment today. We look forward to making you right at home in our new place!
